WTGF to host a symposium titled

‘Sports in Transplantation’

at the 26th International Congress of The Transplantation Society (TTS) Friday, 19th August 2016

Dear Country Representatives and Team Managers,

WTGF President Chris Thomas is delighted to announce that for the first time ever the WTGF will be hosting a symposium at the 26th International Congress of The Transplantation Society (TTS) later this month on 19th August 2016 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Federation is very fortunate to secure this important 90 minute session which will focus on sport in transplantation as well as see the launch of an exciting new WTGF initiative, fit for life!. Guest speakers include:

Chris Thomas (WTGF President)

Liz Schick (WTGF Secretary and Liver recipient)

Dr Paul Harden ( Oxford Transplant Centre and Team Doctor, Britain)

Dr. Ka-foon Chau (WTGF Medical Committee Chair and Honorary President – Hong Kong Transplant Sports Association)

Dr. Markus J. Barten (Surgical Director – Heart Failure Clinic,Hamburg, Germany)

This is an exciting new innovation for the Federation designed to promote the importance of physical activity post-transplantation and everyone is welcome to attend this open session which has FREE ADMISSION. Please visit the WTGF desk at the Convention Centre on 19th August, you will not be required to register for the main Congress. Our symposium commences at 4.00pm. Registration from 3.30pm.
