BORMIO, ITALY TO HOST THE 12th WORLD TRANSPLANT WINTER GAMES IN 2024

Located in Northern Italy, Bormio is one of Europe’s top ski destinations and provides the perfect location for the 12 th World Transplant Winter Games. Hosted by ANED Sport, who won a competitive bid to host, we invite you to join us on the slopes for a week of celebration, competition and gratitude to donors and their families.

Running from Sunday March 03 to Friday March 08, the World Transplant Winter Games will be the place to see new faces and reunite with old friends. We offer competitions in many different disciplines, with challenges and excitement in equal quantities.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE

All competitions must be members of their relevant WTGF country member organisation.

Entry is open to all recipients of life-supporting allografts and hematopoietic cell transplants from other individuals or species, which require or have required the use of immunosuppressive drug therapies.

Competitors must have been transplanted for at least 1 year, with stable graft function, be medically fit, and have trained for the events in which they have entered.

If a potential competitor has been transplanted for at least 6 months, with stable graft function, has been training, and has permission from their own doctor, their entry may be considered by the WTGF medical committee and be allowed to enter.

Age participation is from 8-17 years old (juniors) to 70+ years (adults).

Competitors will be allowed to enter a total of five individual competitions. They will be allowed to enter Team competitions in addition to their individual events.

DONOR FAMILIES AND LIVING DONORS are invited to participate in all events, except for Team events besides Curling.

  • Cross Country

  • Biathlon
