

Transplant Australia Football Club (TAFC) is Australia’s transplant football team representing on both state, and international levels operating under the umbrella of Transplant Australia, the nation’s member country organisation , TAFC unites transplant recipients, living donors, donor families, and supporters through the powerful platform of football.
Formed to drive sport through inclusion and inspire, connect, and empower Australians whose lives have been touched by transplantation. The club now has committee members in most states across the country to strengthen member engagement, participation, and growth, and proudly supports both men’s and women’s transplant football, ensuring equal opportunities for all to play and compete.
TAFC exists to:
Australia proudly competed in the inaugural Transplant Football World Cup in Cervia, Italy (2024), finishing 7th in the world. TAFC’s goal is to become one of the top three transplant football nations in the world by 2026.
The Club is chaired by Ante Kelic, whose leadership and passion have been instrumental in the growth and success of the club.
The football program is led by Head of Football Camryn Milne, an AFC-licensed coach with a personal connection to transplantation with his best mate Jake having had a kidney transplant and cousin also receiving a liver transplant. Camryn is assisted by Matt Zoppos a kidney transplant recipient. TAFC now has a committee of six recipients that meet every 4 weeks to discuss matters associated with the club and national team. Topics include child safeguarding, media and communication, events and fundraising.

The club has featured across The Today Show, Weekend Today, 10 News, ABC News, and numerous print, radio, and digital outlets. TAFC has also collaborated with A-League icons including Archie Thompson.

TAFC is preparing for future Australian and World Transplant Games along with the 2026 Transplant Football World Cup, with a strong focus on growing participation, expanding women’s and youth programs, and increasing national impact.
