A space for connection, conversation, and community – designed specifically for men navigating life after organ transplantation.
Join the World Transplant Games Federation for open and honest conversations on topics that matter most to men in their transplant journey. From physical recovery and mental health to sexual wellbeing and work-life balance, the Men’s Wellness Program provides a supportive platform for transplant recipients, living donors, caregivers, and family members to connect, learn, and share experiences.
Whether you’re newly transplanted or years into your journey, this program is here to support every aspect of your post-transplant life.
Men’s health often takes a backseat, especially in the transplant community. This program fills that gap by encouraging real conversations about the challenges and opportunities men face throughout their transplant journey.
Led by transplant recipients for transplant recipients, the program combines medical expertise with lived experience, offering both professional guidance and a strong sense of peer support.
You’ll have access to:
The Men’s Wellness Program takes a holistic approach to health, combining expert insights with real-life experience. Our topics span the full spectrum of men’s post-transplant health, including:
Each topic is explored with honesty, compassion, and practical advice — because post-transplant life isn’t just about surviving, it’s about thriving.
My name is Daymon Johnstone, I’m 34 years old and 29 years post-kidney transplant. By day, I work as a theatre technician at a local theatre. By night, I’m on the squash court, managing the Newcastle Adults Transplant Team, and captaining the GB Pétanque team.
I was introduced to the transplant world from birth when doctors discovered I had urethral valves – a blockage between my kidneys and bladder. After spending three and a half years on dialysis, I received my kidney transplant at the age of five. Since then, I’ve never looked back and have taken every opportunity with both hands.
Now, I’m passionate about helping other men thrive after transplant – not just physically, but mentally, emotionally, and socially.
My name is Gerardo Reyna. I became a liver transplant recipient in 2012, and since then, organ donation and transplantation have become a fundamental part of my life. I’ve dedicated myself to advocating for organ donation and promoting a healthy lifestyle for transplant recipients.
I’ve been involved with the World Transplant Games Federation since 2021 and currently serve as Vice President. From the early years of my transplant journey, I’ve focused on raising awareness of the mental, emotional, and social challenges that come with being a recipient – especially for men. Through this program, I hope to help create a space where those conversations are not only welcomed but encouraged.
Together, we’re here to build a community of support, education, and strength for men in the transplant world.
