About TX

TX – our Transplant Teddy Bear is given to children on the transplant waiting list or those recently transplanted. TX is cuddly and loving and designed to bring comfort, companionship, and emotional support to everyone who has the joy of holding him close to them.

TX comes with a message of hope from children around the world who are part of the World Transplant Games Federation community. Children who have been in similar situations and are now celebrating the Gift of Life and participating in sports, exercise and possibly even the next World Transplant Games.

The TX Legacy was born at the 2021 World Transplant Games 5K AnyWay Virtual event. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the World Transplant Games could not take place in person and as planned in Houston, Texas. The 5K AnyWay virtual race took place instead, allowing people from all over the globe to complete 5K – their way! This event showed the strength of our transplant community and helped to continue to spread the important message or organ donation.

The WTGF is excited to be able to continue with this legacy by opening online applications worldwide for those who need the comfort and hope that TX brings.
