03 Nov Team WTGF: 26.2 miles for the gift of life at the 2027 TCS London Marathon
The 2027 TCS London Marathon will be a two-day event for the first time, on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 April 2027 – and WTGF has secured five charity places for Saturday 24 April.
Applications closed on 7 September and our team was announced on 11 September. Now our five runners are in training – and fundraising – for the gift of life.
Meet the team
Our runners come from five countries:
- Alana Prince – Australia
- Jade Carr – United Kingdom
- Raf Dubois – Belgium
- José Luis Herrera Olivares – Mexico
- Stefano Dalvai – Italy
Stefano, from Trentino, is already a World Transplant Games champion, having won gold in the 5 km road race at both Perth 2023 and Dresden 2025. A keen marathon and ultra runner, he is also a proud father of twin daughters.
Each runner will share their story in our new series, Five runners. Five chapters. One story. – follow along on our social channels.
Our runners came together
On 20 October the team met online for the first time at our runner roundtable, sharing training plans and ideas for fundraising together.
How you can help
Each runner is fundraising a minimum of £2,500 for WTGF. Every pound helps us bring transplant recipients together through sport, celebrate donors and their families, and promote organ donation around the world.
Our fundraising milestones:
- 25% by Giving Tuesday, 1 December 2026
- 50% by 28 February 2027
- 75% by 31 March 2027
- 100% by race day, 24 April 2027
Support our runners
Sponsor the whole team on our official Team WTGF charity profile on Enthuse.
Each runner also has their own fundraising page. Please sponsor one (or all five!) and share their pages with #TeamWTGF #EveryMileCelebratesLife.
