Transplant Football World Cup 2026 in Frankfurt
27 November 2025
The World Transplant Games Federation (WTGF) is delighted to announce that Germany has been selected as the host nation for the Transplant Football World Cup (TFWC) 2026, taking place 6–12 September 2026 in Frankfurt am Main.
Following Germany’s successful hosting of the World Transplant Games 2025, the nation and Transdia expressed a meaningful commitment to continue its leadership role in global transplant sport and to build on the momentum generated for organ-donation awareness. With Germany still facing a critical need for increased organ and tissue donation, the 2026 TFWC will serve as a powerful platform to expand public understanding, strengthen advocacy efforts, and help shape future policies.
A Football Powerhouse Supporting the Gift of Life
As one of the world’s great football nations, Germany provides a fitting stage for the TFWC. Frankfurt, the home city of German national football team, will host all tournament matches—featuring FIFA-standard pitches, world-class athlete facilities, and an elite training and competition environment.
