Dr Matthew Wallen is a Lecturer in Exercise and Sport Science at Federation University Australia and is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP). His research interests focus on examining the prognostic importance and modifiability of pre-operative cardiopulmonary function and reserve on peri- and post-operative outcomes for patients undergoing solid-organ transplant and cancer-related surgery. Matthew lectures in cardiopulmonary and metabolic exercise physiology at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and supervisors higher degree research students in these areas.
