In calculating a dietary prescription for a transplant recipient, careful consideration is given to
you intake of the following:

  • Protein

  • Carbohydrate
  • Fat
  • Potassium
  • Phosphorous
  • Salt
  • Fluid
  • Vitamins and minerals and electrolytes

One or more of these may need to be adjusted depending on your individual profile.

Your medical team will use your clinical assessment, anthropometric measurements, laboratory tests and biochemistry and your diet history to work out exactly what you need.
