The Games proudly welcome international competitors\, providing a global platform for athletes to compete within their respective categories while celebrating resilience\, community\, and the spirit of sport. \nAt its core\, the Canadian Transplant Games aim to raise public awareness about the importance and life-saving impact of organ donation. By showcasing the strength\, health\, and fitness that can be achieved post-transplant\, athletes serve as powerful ambassadors—offering hope to those on transplant waiting lists and inspiring recipients to pursue active\, healthy lifestyles. \nBeyond competition\, the Games promote full rehabilitation through exercise\, camaraderie\, and shared experiences\, while also honouring the donors\, their families\, and medical professionals who make these journeys possible. \nAthletes must be at least one year post-transplant\, in stable health\, and cleared by their healthcare provider to participate. Competitors may enter up to five individual events (with relays excluded from this limit)\, and are encouraged to train appropriately in preparation for their chosen sports. \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
